Cothú Training an Autistic-led programme that supports parents
We were delighted to support our first cohort of parents through the Cothú Parent Training Programme, led by Emma Nolan and Karen Shortt. Cothú is a neuroaffirming, strengths-based and trauma-informed programme designed to support parents in understanding, connecting with, and advocating for their neurodivergent children.
The programme provided a valuable opportunity for parents to come together, share experiences, reflect on their journeys and learn practical strategies that support wellbeing, regulation, communication and positive family relationships. The engagement, openness and mutual support demonstrated by parents throughout the programme created a warm and welcoming learning environment for everyone involved.
We are grateful to all of the families who participated and contributed so generously to the discussions.
